urban hike - QE Park
Put on comfortable shoes and let us take you on an urban hike to gorgeous Queen Elizabeth Park.
Vancouver is a coastal city and there are no shortage of hills here. We will conquer them from water's edge at Granville Island, and work our way up to Queen Elizabeth Park for breathtaking views of the city. Along the way we will explore the interesting neighbourhoods and learn a little bit about this city we love to call home.
Tour highlights: Granville Island, Charleson Park, City Hall, Cambie Village, Vancouver Olympic Centre, Nat Bailey Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Park.
Tour Starts: On Granville Island, near the Vancity ATM's, next to Edible Canada Restaurant.
Tour ends: Queen Elizabeth Park - Your guide will be happy to direct you back to your hotel or on to something else amazing to check out in the city!
**Post-tour suggestion - make a reservation at 'Seasons in the Park for a drink or bite to eat with a gorgeous view of the city!
- Length - Approximately 2.5 hours
- Distance: 6km
- Elevation - There are some hills as we hike from the seawall up to the top of QE Park at 152 meters (or 501 ft) above sea level. Don't let that discourage you though, there are hills, but the guide will stop after each incline to tell you something interesting about the city. This tour is also known to make a stop at Vancouver's best craft ice cream shop!
- Difficulty - Novice-Intermediate walking route. We walk with a comfortable pace that everyone can enjoy, but hopefully you will break a little sweat going up a few hills.
